Got all cheery for a while there. Mark called last night to say they had scheduled helicopters for crew change this morning so I thought he was going to be able to get off the rig before the predicted "frozen precipitation" kicks in later tonight. Well, they brought one load of guys out to the rig this morning and took part of Mark's crew in to shore (he's usually on the second helicopter), then called back out to say that their windshield had started to freeze up so they wouldn't be making any more flights. Sorry.
So he's stuck out there until . . . whenever the weather lightens up. And as far as I can tell, that's not likely to happen until Saturday.
Sigh.
