Mark just sent me a copy of the rig's latest weather advisory. According to Wilkins Weather Technologies:
" . . . . Strong northerly winds and rough seas are then expected to continue Wednesday through Friday as arctic high pressure moves southward across the Plains and another area of low pressure develops well offshore in the central Gulf."
What!!
He says that as far as they can tell, they won't be able to get off that rig until SATURDAY (instead of at 6 AM tomorrow morning, as scheduled). So apparently Mark will be home Saturday evening, then turn around and leave for First Responder school on Sunday evening. He'll be back from that school on Friday evening, only to go BACK to work again on Tuesday. So he will actually be home for an entire THREE DAYS instead of two weeks.
On the plus side, HE doesn't look nearly as p...d off as I am, does he?
