When Mark called last night he said there's a problem . . . AGAIN . . . with them getting off the rig on time. The seas have been running 8 to 10 and the wind gusting at 35 -42 mph out there. So what does that mean? It means that the seas are too high for the crew boat to show up and the winds are too high for the helicopter to come get them. And what does THAT mean??? It means they're stuck out there until one or the other settles down. And their relief is stuck at the dock waiting as well. Those guys aren't allowed to stay at home until it's possible to head out, they're required to sit around at the dock and wait. So for sure they're going to be less than happy, too.
It REALLY aggravates me because Mark's already been told he needs to attend a first-responder re-certification class next week, so if he doesn't get home on Wednesday, as he's supposed to, he'll have even LESS time off this month. Grrrrr.
