Home at last . . .

I had a doctor appointment I was NOT looking forward to the day I got home from Ohio.  But now that's done (all is well) and I'm unpacked and settled back in here at home.
Niki seems a bit quiet, and the six remaining inches of her tail appear pretty swollen, but at least the surgery is over.  Hopefully she will feel better soon.  I kind of wish they had cut it even shorter so that it couldn't bang into anything no matter what, but I guess it's short enough.  The stitches don't seem to be hitting against anything -- luckily, since the bandage won't stay on.  Every time she wags what's left of the tail, the wrapping goes flying.  I AM keeping her in the house and away from dog doors, though, until I am absolutely positive it's completely healed.
Oh - and the barn! . . . it's all wrapped in house wrap and ready for the siding to be installed.  And inside, the tack room walls have been framed up and closed in, and soon it will actually have doors!   More pictures coming soon.
