No one seems to understand what could be causing those episodes. But every so often he just suddenly gets so weak he's not able to turn over in bed or even reach the call button for help. As frightening as that is for us, it must be really terrifying to him.
And then while everyone is trying to figure out what's wrong, he will almost as suddenly "get over it." He will wake up the next day and feel like himself again. But when those episodes happen, he just seems so old, and so SO frail.
All of these pictures except the last were taken this weekend. The last picture was taken last July.
(I think Wendy must have one of those portraits that ages for her hidden away somewhere.
What other explanation could there BE??? She is so gorgeous and just never seems to age.)
It seems to me he's aged significantly just since July. It is just so demoralizing to watch that happen right before your eyes. It's sort of a chicken or egg kind of question, but I have to wonder if the fact that he has nothing he's really interested in at the moment has something to do with why he seems to be aging so quickly -- or if the fact that he is aging is preventing him from being interested in the things he used to love. I wish I knew. He did mention this morning that he might be interested in singing in the choir there. He was in the choir at every church he ever attended for as long as I can remember, so if he got back to that I have to believe it would help. We'll see, I guess.
