Well, tomorrow TPBP is supposed to open back up. But given the fact that it's going to be down in the 20's tonight, I think I'll skip going in to work at 6:30 in the morning. Think I'll wait until the ice has melted down -- probably closer to 9 or so! Mark, too, I think . . . he has to be down on the coast at noon tomorrow to head back offshore. (I'm sure the guys on the other shift will be thrilled to see them arrive at last. They were supposed to get off Tuesday night at midnight.)
All the news services have been concentrating on the weather down south all this week. Here are the front pages of our BR newspaper for the 28th and 29th:
Sure glad this is over -- hope it's the LAST time we deal with this this year.
But I've gotten a lot done over the past couple days -- got all my wash done (8 loads!) and stuff ordered online that I've been putting off for a while. So now I'll get to kick back and enjoy this next weekend with nothing much to do except dealing with the horses and dogs. Hey, MAYBE the new dog will be coming -- although they may well wait until Mark gets back home before bringing her up after the problem we had with Jack going after him. Well, we'll see. Mark and I talked about it, and if they don't bring her up, or if she doesn't work out, maybe we'll just go buy a nice Rottweiler or Mastiff puppy and just raise it so it will behave as we wish. Well, we'll just take it as it comes and wait to see how it goes.
