It's been nearly a week since I posted on here . . . not how this used to work, is it? But I've been pretty darned busy lately just trying to adjust to a new schedule.
Given the fact that I have to go to physical therapy several days a week, and that I have virtually no paid time off left this year, I've been going in to work as early as I could (7 AM) so I could leave early and get to the therapy session. But it wasn't working out. I was still a couple hours or more short each week. Well I, like most of the folks at our firm, couldn't get into the office until after 7 -- no one could except for the attorneys. But I requested permission to come in to work before 7 so I could work a full day even if I had to be at physical therapy or a doctor visit early in the afternoon. And they did give me permission! . . . they fixed my entry card so that it works earlier and I can come to work at 6 AM. So now it's just me and the attorneys who are allowed to come in that early! Isn't THAT impressive! (Ha!)
So anyway, I go into work now no later than 6:30, usually closer to 6, and since it takes about half an hour to drive down there, I need to get up by at least 5 AM. And I'll tell you what -- that definitely is taking some getting used to!! And THAT means I need to get to bed by 9 PM at the latest. That rotator cuff issue I'm dealing with still wakes me up a few times each night so I have to allow myself some extra time in bed in order to get in at least 7 hours of sleep.
Then once I get home, I have to feed the dogs, feed the cats, then feed ME. And THEN I go out and clean out the barn stalls, empty out the dirty water buckets and clean those up and refill them, then mix up the horse feed and supplements. Then while they're eating I check them over to see if they have any "issues" and in Lizzie's case, clean out her ears and clean off the gunk from her eyes. By the time I get back inside it's about time to get ready for bed and so far this week (since Mark is back at work - he feeds the horses when he's home) I haven't found time to play on the computer!
Well, maybe this weekend . . . I sure hope so since Wendy sent me a few more pictures I want to post on here. Can't believe I haven't gotten around to that yet!
Oh - and speaking of this weekend, Cayln, that "possible pet sitter" person, e-mailed me to say her boyfriend had some sort of serious issue and ended up in the hospital last weekend, and that's why she didn't show up. She says she's coming this weekend. Hope so.
We'll see . . .
