Survey done --

Yesterday the surveyor marked the actual edges of the property Vickie and John, and Bruce and Bonnie bought next door to us.  It turned out that the tacky little house on the other side of that property is going to lose most of what appeared to be THEIR yard (but isn't)!  Here's the view as we approach the driveway in the front of that little house.

That neon orange flagged post on the far side of that driveway
is the edge of Bruce and Bonnie's new property.

This is that tacky little house on the opposite side of that property.  You can see the house next door to them there behind that tree on the right (it's blue - just in front of the truck in this picture).  So once Bruce gets a fence put up running back from there where the orange post is, their house will actually be in the very center of their property.  So that really shouldn't be a problem for them.

But all this yard that they have been using until now will belong to Bruce and Bonnie!  So the land they bought is probably a good 50 or 60 feet wider than we originally thought it was!  And there's a good 6 or 8 feet of culvert on that edge, too, that's on his property now.

That neon orange flag to the left of the electrical post is the other edge of Bruce and Bonnie's property  -- look how much land they have!  There are piles of things that were cleared on the land in a number of places over there, but once they dry out and can be burned it will really look enormous!

Then everything from the orange post in the picture below over to that black horse fence there on the left (ours) will be Vickie and John's property.   It looks almost as wide as our does, even though theirs will actually be half the size of ours.  But theirs is evenly square while ours is narrow in front and very wide in back, so they're going to look quite similar in size from the road.   Very nice.
