I was a little concerned when I didn't hear from Mark last night. But as it turned out, they lost one of the tugs that was moving the rig so it took them a while longer to get where they were going (Galveston!) and then get their satellite connection hooked back up. So Mark did call once they got that done this morning. All is well. Whew!
And now there are just two more days until he gets back home and we have our 4-day weekend!
Unfortunately, he does have a fence repair item at the top of his "list" when he first gets back. Ever since they began clearing that property next to us, Duke and Arthur have been hanging around the area where that giant tree fell across the fence last year and the fence got seriously loosened up. We had strung some rope around those posts to keep everyone in temporarily, and until now they hadn't paid any attention to that loose fencing. But NOW . . . well, they seem to want to check out that new space over there! NOT a good thing. So Mark and Jerry are going to tighten the thing back up. Since it's supposed to storm big time on Friday, I hope Jerry is willing to come by in the morning on July 4 and help Mark get that fence fixed. We'll see.
Okay. Back to work. Busy Monday.
