Just stepped into one of my bosses' offices and looked out his glass wall to see heavy, heavy rain pouring down. They SAID it was going to rain again tonight, but it wasn't even noon just now when I saw it pouring. Checked online and it's supposed to do that ALL WEEK. Boooo!
When I talked to Mark a minute ago, he said both horses were just standing quietly in their respective doorways watching the rain come down. Doesn't sound like they're having fun, but at least it shows they are becoming more "civilized" than they used to be - especially Lizzie!
We bought Lizzie up in West Monroe from a woman who had only had her for a couple months so who knows how she spent the majority of her life. But Mark nicknamed her "North Louisiana Trailer Trash" not long after we got her -- primarily because she wasn't happy unless she was completely coated with dirt. (THAT she's still not over!) And second, she would constantly poop inside her stall and THEN she'd walk back and forth through it and mix it in with the shavings to the point where it couldn't possibly be cleaned up! She does still go inside her stall sometimes - probably less than a quarter of the time now though -- but she has gotten past that "cat" behavior of covering it with the shavings as if they were cat litter, so at least it can be cleaned up these days. Progress!
Oh - and when I talked to Mark a little while ago he was almost understandable once again. Thank goodness! When he first came home he had a bad BAD cold or flu or SOMETHING and was barely intelligible. I've been afraid to go anywhere near him! Usually it's me that gets that stuff and Mark who seems to be immune to it all. But half the people at the office seem to have the same thing but I'm still just fine. (Knock on wood.)
Well, lunch is over - back to work. More later.
