This afternoon I took a pain pill and of course, got sleepy. So I was in the bedroom taking a nap when the dogs began to bark hysterically! The curtains were closed, but when I opened my eyes I saw a shadow that looked like a huge man leaning forward and sneaking past the bedroom window! It scared me to DEATH because the front gate was chained shut so no one would have been on the front porch for any valid reason. So I grabbed Mark's gun and hurried out and quietly opened the front door and . . .
came face to face with Ladybug! No kidding! She was standing there on the front porch right in front of the door looking like she had just rung the door bell and was waiting to see me answer!
I didn't know whether to laugh hysterically or collapse from relief! Obviously that shadow I saw moving past the window was Bug. She must have walked up the golf cart ramp over on the side, then made her way around the porch furniture and over to the front door.
I went out and walked down those brick front steps to go get a lead rope, but she walked gracefully down right alongside me. Thank you Bug. Very cooperative of you. So . . . she is now once more in the back with the other horses.
So I guess I won't let her out front again until we have either a fence separating the house from the front pasture, or maybe a railing of some sort on the porch again. For that matter, maybe we could just run a single chain along the edge of the porch - sort of like on a pier or something.
I don't know. Guess I'll have to see what Mark thinks when he gets home. But in the meantime? Yep. She'll be staying out back with the other horses for the duration.
