Monday, Monday . . .

Well, I'm back at work . . . although I seem to be about the ONLY one who is.  Most of the attorneys (including both my bosses) are taking off all this week.  And there was so little traffic on the roads this morning on the way in that I began to wonder if I'd gotten confused and it was actually Sunday and not Monday!

Before I made it to work, though, the dash lit up indicating that I had not one but TWO flat tires.  What!  Pulled over and looked, but they looked okay to me so I just gave the dealer a call when I got in here to work.  I'm going to leave early this afternoon and take the truck in to get rid of all those annoying warning lights on the dash.  It's been blinking "service due" for about a week now.  Now with that low tire pressure icon lit up as well, it's really getting distracting.  (But I guess that's the point, isn't it?  Well -- it worked.  I'll be in there to the dealership shortly.)

Vickie and John (and Idgy) are supposed to fly home to DC this afternoon.  The news this morning showed folks sleeping in airports all over the East coast due to cancelled flights, but I haven't heard anyone mention any problems in DC.  Since their flight is nonstop from New Orleans to DC, and does NOT have to stop in Atlanta, they should be fine.   Hope Ohio isn't too awful.  It always worries me to think about Wendy driving so far to work when I hear on the news about snow and ice on Ohio highways.  And this week is worse -- it's supposed to get warmer briefly then freeze again.  Black ice.  Scary!  Come on, people.  Can't the rest of the family move south, too? . . . pleeeese??
