Better day so far!

First of all, already when I got home yesterday -- before even starting him on any of his meds -- Joey's rash had improved just from that cortisone injection the vet gave him Monday night.
Compare this with the photo of the same area yesterday.  Definitely better!

Obviously he still needs those meds, but compared to yesterday? . . . not nearly so bad.
He wouldn't even lay back and let me take a picture of his whole tummy yesterday.
Today he's calm again and doesn't mind me touching him at all.
Cortisone is obviously a miracle drug.  That spinal specialist finally got back to his nurse yesterday just before they closed and had her call in a cortisone prescription for me, as well.  Of course instead of letting me know on my cell phone, she called the office so I didn't find out about that until this morning.  Now I won't be able to go get it until tonight.  But in fact, I'm already feeling just a little bit better anyway.  Not entirely sure what caused this -- but maybe it was because I got wrapped up in a sheet and wasn't able to turn over without pulling the muscles in my back.  But I CAN already walk pretty well again today -- as long as I'm careful not to lean to either side.  That still kills me.  But hey -- I can  get where I'm going again.  And once I take those pills I'm sure I'll feel completely normal again.

Of course, what's going to happen when the stuff wears off is another thing entirely.  Hope I'm back to feeling okay.  Fingers crossed.   (I really do NOT want to end up having to have some kind of back surgery.  No, no, no, no, NO!!)

Anyway, I will be back to hanging out for a full day here at the office once again today.

Fun.
