More party pics!

Did you know that bakeries could put PICTURES on cakes these days???  I was absolutely amazed at the photographs on Dale and Wendy's birthday cakes!   Sooo cute!  I think Dale's picture was taken when he was maybe 6 or so?  And Wendy was maybe 10 or 12.  

There were also loads of pictures of both of them on poster boards around the party, too.  Wendy went through a number of photo albums and pulled old pictures out to make up three birthday posters.  Loved those things!

That sorrel horse is Buddy Boy - the horse Wendy had for her whole childhood.
She used to ride him everywhere - nearby subdivisions, Wal-Mart -- EVERYWHERE.

I always thought Dale looked great with a beard,
but the beard without a mustache . . . not so much.
A LITTLE odd, huh?  (I think they used to call him "Lincoln.")
But look how cute Shirley is in all those pictures.  

Dale is definitely a GREAT dad.
These pictures go from Wendy's second birthday (center pic)
right up to last winter down in Florida (bottom center).
Oh, I guess that college graduation picture (bottom right) was even earlier.
Looks like she wasn't even one in that one!  

But back to the present.  


Their house sits at the very back of a cul de sac, and there were so many cars trying to park back there that it was lucky the house next door to theirs was for sale (and empty).  That made a little extra  parking space available.  Wish Wendy had a bit more cash - it would be great -- for her and for them -- if she were to live next door to her Dad and Shirley!   Isn't that house lovely?
