PERFECT day --

Woke up this morning at almost 9 o'clock!  That was a first.  Can't remember when I've slept in that late last.  And it is an incredibly beautiful day in every sense.  Bright sun. Perfect temperature - 78 degrees.  And no high humidity for a change.  The dogs, the cats, the horses, and I are ALL happy, happy, happy with it!
All the trees except the pecans are back in leaf.
(Pecans are always the last to come out and the first to lose leaves in fall, as well.)

That temporary stream and pond are still full, but the water is slowly going down again.

And all the plants are happy as can be after all that rain and now full sun.  Isn't this gardenia by the front porch gorgeous.  I'll tell you, it smells WONDERFUL!

AND Buddy and Lisa called this morning to say they'll be coming back tomorrow.  Hooray!

I've been in the process today of getting a flight up to Ohio in mid-May.  Wendy and Dale (he's my ex and her dad) both have birthdays in May so I really want to go up and visit then. I think Shirley  (my favorite "ex-in-law") is planning a celebration since it's Dale's 70th.  Unfortunately, May is the  month that Mark's employer makes them work one week on, one week off (instead of two) in order to change which shift gets Christmas and Thanksgiving off each year.  So he will only be off one week at that time and we won't have time to drive up.  That's why I'll be flying up.  And he will be horse-, dog-, and cat-sitting that week!  Poor guy.  Some vacation for him, huh?

I tried to buy the ticket through Priceline and I THOUGHT I did, but then the site got weird and no e-mail confirmation came, so I don't know whether to start over again or not.  I'd hate to end up with TWO tickets, but I don't want to have none either.  No idea what to do next!  Guess I'll just wait until tomorrow and see what happens.

I'm waiting at the moment for a pizza to get done.  Mark and I have discovered that we LOVE those Totino's personal pizzas.  And we've also discovered that we love to add things to the Supreme version.  I may have gotten a BIT carried away with that "adding" thing today, though, that's for sure!  Let's see . . . I added chopped green onions, bacon bits, blue cheese crumbles, sliced grape tomatoes, extra-sharp grated cheddar, chopped corned beef . . . virtually everything I came across in the fridge!  Four more minutes.  Can't wait!
Okay - it's DONE!

Mmmmmm!
