Before Mark was released from the hospital today, the doctor said he wouldn't agree to send him back to work until the second stent gets put in, so . . . he goes back for the second one NEXT Wednesday. And he will NOT be going back offshore until May 15. He WILL be handling things by phone, though . ;-D
So I'm glad all that's been worked out. He'll have it all taken care of and THEN go back to work so I won't have to worry about him having a heart attack out there. And he should be pretty much recovered by the time I'm scheduled to go up to Ohio on May 9. That's a huge relief, too.
Of course when I get up to Dayton, I'll be going to see my very old friend (meaning we've been friends since 1963, NOT that she's ancient!) because SHE is having surgery the day before I get up there! I'll tell you what. Once you make it past 60 you just never know WHEN you're going to have to have WHAT done, do you? But then, since we DO manage to get things done, we continue to function -- not something our parents and grandparents were able to do. So when you look at it that way . . .
Oh, I needed to pick Mark up from the hospital at noon today, so I brought home all those drawings I'm STILL working on for the filing tomorrow. That way I didn't have to go back to work. It's been nice to work at home, but after several hours at it (it's 9 PM) I'm still not done. So -- time to get back to it.
I am going to be incredibly happy to see this thing filed tomorrow -- even if the PTO complains and I have to revise the darned thing later.
This whole week has been so stressful. I'm just sooooooo ready for the weekend!!!
