Alive and well . . .

The weather here has been absolutely PERFECT for the last little while -- in fact it's supposed to remain that way until at least the middle of next week.  But this morning when I headed for work there was a small glitch the weatherman didn't seem to have anticipated . . . it was so foggy that I couldn't even see the gate when I pulled out of the garage!  The traffic lights were only visible once you were AT the intersections.  Of course I knew where they were -- I was just hoping no one new to the area was driving around and drove through one!  Scary.  Took about twice as long to get to work, but I'm here, the sun is out, and it's clear and beautiful finally.  Whew!  One more of those "live in the moment because you never know how long you have" reminders, I guess.

So - the weather is perfect now.  Ladybug has recovered from her tooth abscess.  Lizzie is moving well again.  I'm moving, if not "well" at least "better" . . .  .  Hmmm . . . looks like I'll actually get to RIDE my pasture ornaments this weekend.  Yippee!  Torri and some friends are going to be over there riding, so I won't be alone and that's good.  We'll see how it goes.

I have a whole list of things that need done around the house, but I'm thinking I'll just have to find a way to do them that will allow me to enjoy the gorgeous weather and how absolutely beautiful the yard looks at the moment.  Maybe I'll do my huge backlog of ironing out on the porch!  Just a matter of convincing the cats and dogs that I don't need their help, but hey - I can do that.

Looking forward to a wonderful weekend.  Wish Mark were home, or at least accessible.  But they're moving the rig, so I won't even get any phone calls until Sunday morning when they reach their new Gulf location and realign their satellite connection.
