Glad we live right down the road from the stables where the horses are boarded, because Lori and the vet both complained vociferously this week about the enormous amount of time it took to come down Bayou Manchac Road because a film crew has been out there driving a flatbed with movie cameras sloooooowly up and down keeping traffic backed up for ages. Not sure what the film is THIS time (this has happened before), but I think it's for the new season of True Blood. I hear they're also going to be filming the final movie in the Twilight series down here, but I don't think they've started that one yet. I definitely want to find out what they're filming for, though, because I would really enjoy seeing Manchac on film. It IS a gorgeous drive down that road with the trees meeting overhead and the road winding back on itself to follow along the very edge of the bayou for about 10 miles. Hmm. I think maybe I'll get Mark to drive the truck down there so I can do a video standing up with my head out the sun roof so you can see it for yourself. Stay tuned.
