I spent yesterday cleaning up all the horses and boy, howdy, did they ever need it! I thought they were pretty much done shedding, but I got enough hair off of them again to make yet another horse. They're looking good now, though.
Today, I spent most of the day working with Lizzie. My "perfect horse" from September seems to have regressed and has become about as hard-headed as Ladybug - and that's saying a LOT. Sheez! Tried out four different bits, none of which seem to work well. She's completely lost her "stop" when headed back toward the gate (and her buddy, Sugarfoot). Sigh. Looks like it's back to ground work for the next couple weeks. Guess I should have done that to begin with anyway, but I was so anxious to get back to riding.
Still, as big a pain as Lizzie is at the moment, I really enjoyed our day.

Have you tried a bosal or a hackamore?
Glad you still enjoyed it - getting a horse back into work can be a challenge sometimes.
