It it's not one thing, it's another.

On the way to the barn tonight, there were a number of city trucks parked along the Bayou.  When I got over there I discovered that there was no water - not just at the barn, but in the entire area!  What a mess.  I don't know what happened exactly, but it looks like one of the main water lines probably froze because as I drove back home, I saw a couple hundred feet of that big blue water pipe laid out along the road.

It's going to be below freezing again tonight (the last time for a while, thankfully), but I put the horses out anyway because the only water they have is in the big water tubs in the pasture since the automatic waterers aren't working, of course.

SURE hope they get the water back on by morning.  I have a dentist appointment first thing tomorrow, and if there's still no water, I'll have to haul water over there from the house after I get done at the dentist.   NOT how I'd like to spend my vacation time.

We had a broken water line yesterday. Luckily the water company resolved the issue in no time at all.
