We've been tired of so many ridiculous phone calls . . .

so we cancelled our telephone that we've had all these years today and the new company we requested sent guys over to get us the new phone set up.  And that new phone number isn't going to be available to anyone ever except our friends and family.  But actually, they as well as anyone else -- doctors, etc. -- who can give us a call have to call us on our iGoogle phone number.  That Google Voice number rings on our home phone AND on our cell phones -- or any other number we indicate on there for that matter.  But thus no one would use our actual telephone number.  I'm sure you think we're a little odd, but we're hoping that from now on we won't be getting all those ridiculous phone calls like folks wanting to sell us all kinds of things.  Now that we're retired so many folks seem to be calling us to get us to buy all kinds of things thinking we don't have good sense any more at this age.  Ha! NOT good.  We hang up on them continually.  But hopefully we won't have to run around a pick up the phone constantly just for those fools.  Well -- we'll see.

As for this weekend, besides having those guys come and replace our phone system, we've been pretty much relaxing. I did clean up Gigi's porch as best I could, though, yesterday -- I didn't take down her curtains to get them washed just yet, but I did get the rug vacuumed, etc.  And she was VERY happy to have the place nice and tidy, too!  Once I let her out there after it was tidied up, she just laid down and slept in there on the rug instead of hanging out in the yard as she usually does!

and when she saw me with my camera she looked pretty questioning.  ;-D

Well, back to work today.  But I thought I'd let you know that if you had our old phone number . . . well, don't bother!  Call us on the Google Voice number instead.
