Well, it's NOT a matter of a change in health, per se, that I'm feeling actually. It's an improvement in both my brain memory and my general feeling about doing things as I need to. But I'm sure feeling a whole lot better overall! I'm now finally taking some meds that the brain doctor said would help improve my failure to remember words. But he also said that medicine doesn't work well for every person -- and that I needed to check it out because it might make me feel really horrible.
He gave me that prescription early last year, but since I was still working at the time I held off beginning to take it. And I actually pretty much forgot about it until a few weeks ago. At that time, I was feeling really REALLY bad about forgetting almost all words anymore and I didn't feel like doing much of anything at all at the time either. But I was afraid I was going to feel even worse than I already did since he said that med might do that to me!
Well, when I took the first one it actually did make me feel incredibly sick. My head hurt and I felt like throwing up, etc. and had to lay down and stay still. But instead of taking a full pill in the morning after that, I began taking half a pill at night just before time to go to bed so I don't notice any odd feeling once I'm asleep. But now it's not making me sick anymore at all AND it seems to be helping my brain a great deal already! Wow! I'm not back to normal, but I do remember more words that I couldn't remember previously. Wish I had started taking that stuff WAY sooner!
And at this point as well, I'm feeling like doing a lot of things I didn't feel like doing at all previously. I'm really looking forward to how I'm going to feel once I begin taking a FULL pill daily. (I have to wait another week and half before moving up from a half one to a full pill, but I'm really looking forward to that.)
Well, I'm sure enjoying retirement now a WHOLE lot more that I did before I started taking that med!! I guess I need to check back with that doctor and thank him so much for giving me that stuff after all! Great!
