GREAT life! . . .

Well, most of the time anyway.  I did accidentally bite my tongue the other day and I wasn't able to eat much of anything for several days. Gees!   But things in general are going so SO well.  In fact, we're in the process of rearranging everything in the main room upstairs at the moment.  We have had our computers in one of the three upstairs bedrooms for the last few years at least.  But I've ordered us a new giant TV, and a TV table as well (below), to be placed in the main central room upstairs.

Here's the way the sofas were set up previously on the end where the new TV will be going:

The TV is going to sit at that wall on the right of the bookcase in the photo above, and that green sofa has been turned around so we can sit there to watch it.  The yellow loveseat is now over at the other end of that big room and between that green sofa and the other end of the room is where we're going to put our computers.  That is, we're going to move our computers out of the current "office" in one of the three upstairs bedrooms so we'll have even more spaces for visitors.  Nice!

I had to move the queen sized bed off the porch when we got Gigi, so it went into our "office" --
but now we will be moving those computers out of there and it will be an okay bedroom for a guest.

But in order to make enough room for everything out there in the main upstairs room, I've been moving the sofas and tables around today.  And at Mark's suggestion, we will be moving at least three of those tall bookcases that aren't attached to the walls into one of those upstairs bedrooms.

This is that room upstairs as it was before -- awful, huh!
We had some of the saddles up there being cleaned.  But all those things
piled on the table and chairs etc. are things we need to give away.
I'm sure there will be way more once we go through all the things in those bookcases, too.
The wall on the right above, opposite that window, has attached bookcases all the way along that side, so there will be plenty of them in that room even if three out of five of those unfastened bookcases on the left side get moved out.

And I'm going to love hanging out upstairs once we have it redone, especially when Mark is gone away from home somewhere.  The front door, and the windows next to it, in the living room downstairs are full of glass -- anyone coming up onto the porch can see inside at anyone sitting around in the living room.  But I want to be able to ignore anyone knocking on the door that I don't know so that'll be absolutely simple once we begin hanging out upstairs.  And even if they don't think we're home, they sure won't try to come inside when they hear all our big dogs throwing fits inside!  I love that!

And we finally got the two reclining loveseats with electrical outlets inside the center opening replaced last week.  I was going to download a photo of them, but they're actually different from the photos available from Wayfair.  This is how the center of it looks:
But the seats themselves are actually like this photo below, not flat backs like the photo above.  I expected one just like the one below, but when it came the centers were much different.  You can just open them up, but the glass holders are in front of the opening, NOT on a the interior thing as shown in the photo below.  But that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned.  Much better!  Well, I guess I'll go take a photo of them as they actually are tomorrow.  But right now it's dark and the room is full of sleeping dogs at the moment!  ;-D

Anyway, one of those previous loveseats had a tear on one side and a back that wasn't upright evenly, and the other one had a messed up hinge on that middle opening.  And we didn't know how to make the electrical inside that opening work on either of those loveseats previously either.  But everything is just fine now.  I definitely consider Wayfair extremely helpful.  Once I told them about the problems they said they would have another pair made and send those out and pick up the old ones -- no charge.  And they did.  And we were to verify the fact that they were working correctly before the delivery people left.  And they stayed until we put everything together and got them working just fine.  Love that too!

I also ordered a new twin size daybed for the back screened porch.

I also ordered a big mattress and a daybed cover that matches the one on our inside bedroom king sized bed exactly.  That one has worked so well even with Joey sleeping on it -- which he does regularly -- that I figured it would be exactly right for the porch, too.

King sized version . . .

and the daybed version

I used to sleep outside often in a big queen sized bed.

This was the previous outdoor sleeping porch.
But that portion of the porch is now Gigi's room, so I'm planning to nap on a twin sized daybed over on the other end of that back screened porch.

This is Gigi's room these days . . . no longer tidy, that's for sure!
And that horse gate is there to keep her from breaking through the screens.
There are plastic covers on the other screen by the door, as well.
She's really really bad about chewing up just about everything!
I was sad to have to remove that queen sized bed from the porch after we got Gigi, but now I actually love that new area because over there you can see better almost all the pasture and the horses all the time. Nice.

Back pasture view from the porch.
The other side of the back pasture - also viewed from the back porch.

Oh - and I got a huge storage cabinet for that back porch as well so now that porch looks really nice -- even tidier than the house inside! Yep -- I DO need to tidy up the house itself.  But hey -- all in good time.  Tomorrow is another day . . .
