Okay! . . . dog yard fixed and fun play coming up!

Our dog yard has now been divided into THREE sections - one for Gigi so she can go in and out of her sleeping porch door whenever she wants, one very large one for the other dogs, and a third one that isolates our A/C's and our generator from ALL the animals -- at last!  Mark is going to plant some fruit trees in there, too.  And if necessary down the road, we can probably even put a screen of some sort across the top of that area to keep birds and bugs away from that fruit.  Fruit trees aren't all that tall, and we can fasten it to the top of that 6-foot high fence and fasten the other edge very high on the other side of that space -- way up high on the side of the house.  Or we might just put a net over the tree itself.  Whatever.

But right now I am just SO appreciating the fact that I don't have to lock Gigi inside her crate every time Joey goes outside anymore!
The view of the dog yards and pasture from upstairs --  that smaller one on the right
is Gigi's yard.  There is a 5 or 6-foot wide gate there next to the house.  Later on, I hope
to be able to just leave that gate open so they can all play together in the big area.
At this point, Gigi (at 5 months old!) is as big as Joey is, so I'm planning to put them together before too much longer.  I haven't allowed them to get together yet because I keep waiting for her to stop jumping on top of everyone who goes near her since that would definitely p___ off Joey, for sure, and he might hurt her.  She's getting a LITTLE bit better about that -- she waits at least a minute and a half before jumping on me now -- but it's still not QUITE long enough!!

Oh - and we got Boo "furminated" over at Petsmart so he's not leaving hair on absolutely everything everywhere in the house any longer.  Yeaaa!  And we got Abigail completely shaved.  I think I'm going to KEEP her shaved, at least for the rest of the summer.  She and I are BOTH happier that way!

And although hurricane season began on 6/1, the rain has finally gone away.  Nice.  Looking forward to the weekend.

Now if only it weren't in the 90's out there . . .

Oh - we're also scheduled to go see "Annie" - the play with my boss, John Runnels (as Lt. Ward), his dog Khayanne  (Khay) as Sandy, and another guy who works with us (Steve Lalande) as Franklin Roosevelt acting in it.
John is there in middle of the back row (with that giant grey beard!), and Steve is the guy in the second row from the back wearing that white hat.  I'm really looking forward to it.
Should be a lot of fun!
Here's Steve's pic from his Facebook page.
He is such a nice guy!
We're going to the play on June 18 - the day Mark gets home from the rig.  But I just got an e-mail telling us that they are adding an additional FOUR days to that play because the first eleven  are already completely sold out!  Wow!  Apparently I'm not the only one looking forward to it.

This nice picture of Molly with Khay is from an article in our Baton Rouge paper:

And here she is with Khay again from an article in one of the New Orleans papers:

In so many pictures, Khay is looking over at John
for his instructions instead of at the camera!
