Sigh . . .

I have GOT to cool off and quit getting completely p--d off at Gigi.  She will only be 12 weeks old tomorrow, but she's large enough that I keep thinking she SHOULD be able to learn to behave.  Ha!  Like THAT's going to happen!!!   Not anytime soon, anyway.

Well, just two more weeks until she gets her third 8-in-1 shot, then we can begin going to training classes.  Not sure exactly how I'm going to close her inside the truck to keep her from peeing on the floor, but I'll definitely have to figure out SOMETHING.  I take her out the moment I let her out of her crate, and right after she eats, but I STILL end up having to clean everything off the kitchen floor!  Yuk!

Well, for once I am really looking forward to life a few months down the road from now.  She will have her permanent teeth then (and hopefully will have stopped chewing on EVERYTHING!) and she will have been going to training classes for several months by then.  SURELY things will have gotten better by then!!!!   (They can't be worse!)

I also heard on the news last night that the Walmart just up the road from us will also be opening in just a few months.  Another good thing.  And the weather -- hopefully -- should be warm and DRY by then (please, please, PLEASE be dry!!!)  Once it's not muddy anymore I'll be able to turn Gigi out into the dog yard instead of walking her, and Mark will be able to renovate Duke's paddock, too.  AND our electric bill will -- I hope -- have gone down then, as well!   And surely the temperatures will have gotten back to normal by then!  (The temperatures over the last week were the lowest in recorded history - lower than records kept beginning in the 1800's!  Brrrrr!!)

I am definitely looking forward to June!

Although I have to say, it WILL be nice to get back onto Daylight Savings Time this weekend.  I did get excited initially thinking that getting up at 5 AM wouldn't seem like the middle of the night any longer!  Ha!!   It'll actually be like getting up at 4 AM instead!  So it'll be dark by the time I get to work all summer long!  But once I get back home around 3 in the afternoon, it will be like having a whole day off since it won't get dark until about 8 beginning now -- and not until after 9 before too much longer!

AND Mark will be back home on Wednesday.  Hmm . . . some things in life ARE good at the moment, aren't they?

(Just NOT Gigi . . . sigh.)
