Another new year -- ALREADY!!

I'm telling you, the older I get the faster time seems to go by.  Seems like NO time since last year's holidays.  Wow!  But we did have a great time this Christmas.  Mark was home the whole time, and I took off work - it was pretty much our first Christmas that we've had ALL our time together since the first year we were married (I just hadn't gone back to work yet then).  You'd THINK we would have gotten together and done a Christmas letter, but noooo . . . obviously we were too forgetful -- or lazy.  Okay, no excuse.  But maybe down the road . . .

Got a note yesterday from Buddy Graham.  Lisa is having problems yet again - she had pneumonia this time!  Good grief.  If it's not one thing, it's something else with her over the last year or more.  I thought "old" was a really tacky thing, but I'll tell you what -- I wouldn't trade with Lisa, that's for sure, even to be young and gorgeous!  Poor girl!  We really miss seeing them, but I'm sure they have no time to even stop by to say "hello" with all the work they have to do these days.  Oh, well.  Sooner or later maybe things will quiet down for them and we can get back together again eventually.

I'm getting ready to meet the two Cane Corso's from the New Orleans rescue group on Saturday.  Can't wait!  I really REALLY hope both of them get along with no effort at all with all our current "kids."   Got all my fingers and toes crossed on this one!
