Just got an e-mail from Rescue.Me telling me my vet reference went very well. Now I just have to have a "phone interview" sometime in the next few days -- no idea what's involved in that, but we'll find out, obviously!
So now I need to figure out a new name for "Joy." ("Joy" and "Joey" would be a BIT confusing to them!) Mark suggested we call her Pansy. But that was the name of that Neapolitan Mastiff in that Andrew Vachss book series, and I don't think Joy looks anything like a Neapolitan mastiff! She's a very pretty girl!
Well, I better get going since I need to get home early today AND tomorrow. Mark is heading back offshore tonight, then Jan is coming by tomorrow to borrow a saddle or two for her new horse. It would make no sense to buy one to fit him now since he's out of shape. Better to use whatever we have that might work for him temporarily until he gets built up to a standard build. So -- back to work.
