Went to the dentist this afternoon at 3 -- I thought probably for an hour at most. Ha! Ended up in there until 5 minutes after 7! Good grief! And while he ground on my teeth, he sprayed so much water into my mouth with me tilted so far back that the water ran up my nose from the INSIDE!!! I felt like I was about to choke to death! Who knew dentists were into water boarding these days! Yikes!
But it's over now -- for a while anyway. I'll have to go back to get the permanent crown put on in a couple weeks, but at least the worst of it is over.
And what will no doubt happen is the same thing that happened previously -- I'll refuse to go to the dentist for the next few years. Then the horror of it will eventually fade to the point where I'll convince myself it'll be no problem at all.
Yeah, right . . . then I'll go back for additional torture down the road.
