Anybody need anything? . . .

We've managed to get the house pretty much done -- if you don't count leveling the walls and floors.  ;-D  But it's still messy-looking for the simple reason that we have waaaay too much "stuff" that we don't need.  For instance, I just ordered a new microwave that is 1) white, and 2) has "inverter technology."
Panasonic's trailblazing Inverter technology delivers true, variable microwave power, which means even temperatures and consistent textures throughout the food being cooked. The consistent delivery of microwave energy allows delicate foods to simmer without the edges and surfaces overcooking, so foods have the look and taste you expect--without the wait.

The Inverter microwave oven perfects the art of cooking, taking microwave cooking to a whole new level. You'll experience delicious food that better retains its color, nutrients, and flavor and that's easier and faster to prepare. Oh, and you can still make great popcorn.
Okay, sounds great, huh?  The main thing I liked about that inverter technology is that it can defrost things without them beginning to cook!  Excellent.  And I figured the white color would make it stand out a bit less up against that white beadboard backsplash we have in the kitchen now.  It came on Wednesday and I have to admit I was VERY surprised at how enormous the thing really was!  The space it takes up on the counter isn't any larger than our old one was but it IS several inches higher, so it seems much larger.

And on the inside it's WAY bigger than the old one.  Look at the size of it compared to a really large dinner plate!

But on the plus side, there's pretty much nothing that won't fit in there.  Guess that's a good thing.

Anyway, back to my original point -- now we have TWO microwaves, so what am I going to do with the old one??  It still works perfectly fine.  But it needs to go -- the thing is taking up way too much space in the kitchen!  And I don't want to stick it out in the garage or somewhere and have it get messed up.  SOMEONE must be able to use it!  We also have a garage full of "stuff," a storage shed full of "stuff," and for that matter an office and a utility room and a bathroom, not to mention a giant master closet, that are ALSO full of things we need to get rid of.  I've been taking truckloads of stuff to our local Goodwill store but I hate doing that with so many things.  I wish we either knew someone who needs all those things, or I had the energy to get all the necessary pictures taken and all that stuff listed on Craigslist or eBay or something.  Well, maybe down the road . . .

Maybe.
