Just got a note from David Abbott, the guy who does those "Med Cottages" for elderly folks who have no desire to go to a nursing home but can no longer live completely on their own.
He sent me a video of a woman just outside DC who got one of those cottages for her mother. It's one of his very small ones, but that works great for a woman who has a hard time moving around. I'm telling you, I really REALLY like the idea of getting one of those little building if we ever reach the point where we can't take care of ourselves. Buying one of those would only cost about what an assisted living facility would cost for less than a year! But hey . . . let's take things as they come, huh? Not just YET.
