Moving right along --

Bill Manns posted a note on FaceBook about Russell, a dog who graduated with Bill's dog from "Assistance Dogs of the West" who went on to become a "Courthouse Dog" -- one who reassures and consoles abused or neglected children who are being interviewed by the court.  What a wonderful thing.   Russel is a Golden -- of course!  (I'm sure John wouldn't be the least bit surprised by that.)

Hey - check out the front door now that David has added that top trim piece.  Really nice, huh?

That extension cord will be gone very, very soon -- it's the temporary electrical for the barn right now.

I'll tell you what - EVERYONE is working their butt off around here.  Check out the electrical in the barn that Mark and Bryan have been working on since Mark came home last week.  The place is wired as well as the house!!

There was just one tiny little problem today . . . David made the mistake of following construction regulations ("outside electrical outlets needs to be 2 feet off the ground") instead of dealing with our personal needs ("the outlet needs to be down BEHIND the bed so Joey can't eat the wiring").  ;-D  But once I asked him about it he said "no problem" -- he'll change it out tomorrow.  (Sorry, David.  But look at it this way -- a lot of the work we need done is just BECAUSE we have Joey.)

Anyway, so many of the things that we've talked about doing over the last ten years are actually getting done!

Life is good.
