Well, I managed to straighten up the INSIDE of the house today, but that isn't all that impressive when you see that Buddy and Lisa cleaned up the entire rest of the property! (Those horses sure aren't the nervous sort, are they? They paid NO attention to that mower whatsoever.)
When Lisa first started to vacuum, though, Duke came over to her and gave her kisses and hung out for a while (even though that mower is RUNNING!) Buddy took these pictures.
Duke seems to really love Lisa, that's for sure. (Maybe I'll put her in my will so that if anything happens to us Duke will get to live with someone he absolutely adores!)

Anyway, when Lisa and Buddy saw that Duke was eating leaves again, the two of them vacuumed up the entire pasture and Lizzie's paddock (her paddock is right next to a woods, so it was full of leaves). Now? Look how immaculate the whole place is!
Even the ground under this heavily wooded area in the pasture is tidy now! Okay, Duke -- NOW you have to eat grass like a "normal" horse -- no more leaves!
When I cleaned up the house inside, I threw a couple of blankets that need washed over by the back door. Boo decided that was a fine place to lay and watch what was going on in the back. (Hmm. Looks like I need to clean up that wall around the fireplace too, doesn't it? It's interesting that I see things in photos that I don't notice at all in "real life.")
Well, since we didn't get around to saddling up the horses today, I think if it's pretty tomorrow I'll at least saddle Lizzie. Since I'll be completely alone, though, I think I'll lock Duke out of the paddocks and just ride her around inside those three paddocks. If THAT works well, then on Monday I'll do it in reverse - lock Duke inside the paddocks and ride Lizzie around the rest of the property.
Going to be a FINE long weekend.
