Well, on the plus side, that Expedition Mark picked up in Houston yesterday really IS gorgeous -- and surprisingly, Mark says he thinks it got almost 20 mpg on the way back over from Houston - WAY better than we expected. These pictures aren't our car, but they are exactly the same as it is (except the wheels on ours are better looking).
See those two VERY large handles on the passenger side? -- I'll be VERY happy to have those next time we drive to Ohio!! |
I ordered a mat for this back part last night. Once it gets here next week, Boo will get to go everywhere with his "Dad" again. (That center ceiling thing is a DVD player for "the kids" but I doubt that Boo would be interested in that. He's not into movies.)

HOWEVER . . . I still have to say that I think his company really should be embarrassed about the way they talked about it compared to the actual vehicle. What do I mean? Well, what I mean is that it is only a 2006 with over 150,000 miles on it! Now, as I said, it really IS still absolutely immaculate and it's in really great shape. Mechanically perfect, wonderful brand new Michelin tires, not a single scratch or dent anywhere. And Mark really does like it. But still . . . they could have been a BIT more forthcoming, wouldn't you think?
Oh well. It's Friday and since Buddy and Lisa are coming today instead of tomorrow to deal with the pasture AND the horses (they're going to groom both of them for us) we're going to have the entire weekend to visit friends and ride the horses. Nice. VERY nice.
I'm especially glad they're going to clean up Lizzie for me. I really do want to ride this weekend, but when it stormed this week Duke headed for his stall and never even got wet, but Lizzie went out and rolled in the mud -- so that would have meant spending at least another hour getting her groomed so she could be ridden. That usually wears me out so much that I don't get around to riding. But since there's no mud for her to roll in today, whether she tries to be sloppy or not she WILL be getting ridden tomorrow - like it or not!
