The firm shuts down at noon today until Tuesday so I'm almost ready to head out. I'm waiting for a several-hundred-page European publication to download, then I'm done for the day . . . er, week! (I won't be back until NEXT Thursday since I'm having that spinal injection next Tuesday.)
Janet and Mike, brother-in-law John, his brother and Mark and I are all getting together at the centrally-located Acme Oyster House at noon. Vickie drove over to Lafayette, I think it was, to visit with a friend so she'll be missing. But since Janet and Mike are going to be down on the coast of Mississippi with Janet's parents from tomorrow until Monday, today was our only option for getting together with them before John and Vickie leave on Monday. I'm sure we'll be getting together with Janet and Mike again once Wendy is here, but that will probably be at their house so Wendy can meet all the horses they didn't have last time she was down. AND see all the updates they've made (and are making) to their house! I'm looking forward to that too! They're making major changes to their master suite that I haven't seen yet myself.
Wish we could say the same! Poor Mark STILL doesn't have his separate master bath. He decided to pull everything out of his bathroom months ago when there was a problem with the floor. Now he needs a new vanity, a new toilet and new flooring in his bath. (The shared shower is between our baths and that is still in perfect working order.) So it really isn't going to take much to put his bath back in place since everything is already plumbed and the subfloor has been replaced. So we just need to put down tile on his floor and connect up a new toilet and a new vanity/sink. Not a big deal. But he wants to handle it himself and he's been busy working on the barn so . . . no bathroom for him yet. Oh well. It's not like it's all that much of a problem for him to use one somewhere else in the house until he gets around to re-doing it, I guess. And Christmas time with a house full of guests is no doubt NOT a good time to bring it up "again."

Hey - forget about all that. Time to go eat and visit and enjoy!
