No wonder things have felt a bit "different" at the office lately. Turns out virtually all of the dozen or so people on our hall are either pregnant, on one hand, or dealing with menopause or some other symptom of aging on the other! Just found out that our youngest patent attorney and our librarian are both pregnant and due (can you believe?) on the exact same day in mid-March. The rest of us are (ahem!) a BIT too old to be pregnant, but are probably just as emotionally tipsy for one reason or another! Guess my one male boss and the other male attorney on the hall are just going to have to learn to deal with mood swings and hormones over the next few months! (Poor guys!)
As for me, I am able to move relatively well once more this morning. I felt absolutely awful by the time I got home last night. But I took a pain pill, fed the horses, and laid down for a while. Then when I got back up a few hours later, I was actually able to walk - if carefully - once more. I had locked all the horses in their paddocks when I fed them earlier to keep them away from the trees since there were super-strong winds blowing all night, so when I got back up I was finally able to put wood shavings into everyone's stall. Sure glad I could, because when I went out to feed them this morning, all three of them were covered in shavings! Obviously, they had all been laying down in their stalls to sleep last night. Nice. So glad Buddy and Lisa cleared out those stalls so well so the shavings could be put in place.
Then I plugged in the heated mattress pad on the bed on the sleeping porch and spent the night outside myself! I absolutely LOVE sleeping out there when it's cold and windy or even stormy! I didn't wake up a single time through the whole night, for a change!
