Morning after . . .

Having been awake since before 4 AM, it's not exactly a cheery morning here at work.  But on the plus side, that "tornado square" moved across to the north and did not come over our place, thankfully.   We all had to drive in this morning in a single lane because the outside lanes on the roads in were all flooded, but at least it wasn't still storming by then anyway.

When I went out to feed the horses around 6 this morning - when the lightening calmed a bit finally - Duke and Lizzie were, of course, in their stalls.  Arthur?  Well, I didn't see him at first since he wasn't in his stall.  Turned out he was standing over on Duke's "porch" - apparently he felt safer being next to Duke than in his own stall.  ;-D   But at least he wasn't out there in the back under all those trees that invariably drop branches in storms like the one last night.

As for me, I'm hoping to be able to go home fairly early today and take off the overtime I have in so far this week.  Then tomorrow, I'm sure we'll all get off at 3 or 4 since Friday is a holiday and we always get off early on the last day before a holiday.  I hope tonight is a lot quieter.  I sure could use some sleep!
