Everyone keep their fingers crossed . . .

I've been talking with a friend of Mona's -- Mona is the woman who fostered Joey and drove him over here from Houston so we could adopt him.  Anyway, she has a good friend named Robyn Arouty who is a professional photographer there in Houston specializing in pictures of people with their pets.  She was crazy about Joey when Mona was fostering him, so Mona asked if she would consider coming to Baton Rouge to take pictures of all of us and she is considering it.   But you just have NO idea how terrific that would be!  Check out her website.   Her work is absolutely amazing.

If you have even more time, check out her thousand or so Facebook Wall Photos

Robyn used to be a psychologist but decided to close up shop and take up photography instead.  Her work isn't "average" -- it's much more edgy and artistic than that.  But I am the most amazed at how she manages to take photos of GROUPS . . . groups of people AND groups of animals.  Here are some that she has posted on Facebook that I absolutely adore:

(Note that there are NINE dogs in this photo!!!)

Aren't they incredible?

Anyway, I've mentioned to her that we would love it if she would consider coming to Baton Rouge sometime this fall - September or October, maybe - and staying here with us for a couple days.  I haven't heard back from her about it yet, but if any of you here in the BR area would like her to take your picture, let me know.   Maybe a whole LIST of people who want to schedule a session with her while she's here would be enough of an encouragement for her to come!
