Well, I talked to the obedience class people this morning and of course it was MY mistake -- the first class is NEXT Saturday, not last Saturday. Should have known it wouldn't be on a holiday weekend, I guess.
Joey threw a fit this morning when I got ready to leave for work without putting his leash on him. He really loves physical therapy and was terribly upset that he didn't get to go again today. Hard to explain holidays to a dog.
It's been raining since yesterday and there's not a single puddle on the whole place! Everything is draining perfectly into that depression, just as planned. Hooray!
Sent the fence guy a new layout. We planned to enclose the front yard on just one side of the driveway originally, but decided instead to fence in the entire property and install an electric gate instead, so it's going to be another couple days before we get our estimate. We found a very nice, very inexpensive gate from an outfit in Alabama (double 14-foot gates for under $500! ) and you can choose what sort of decorative insert you want in the center.
We like these first two, but I'd rather have something with only horses and dogs - no cowboys. ;-)) I'm thinking that first one would be the best, though, since I can just see Rocky or Joey climbing through the space above that campfire in the second one!

It sure is nice to be at the point where we are finally arranging to install all the stuff needed to have the horses home. Love it!
