It has BEGUN . . .

Okay!  The fence guy didn't get any post holes drilled today (the auger he brought wasn't large enough for the posts we have - he'll be back with with a larger one tomorrow).  So today he just got all the posts laid out near where they will go into the ground.  Actually, I didn't realize the things were as big as they are either.   With posts that size, all set in concrete, there is no way ANY horse will be able to crash through that fence - even Duke.

Even Mark in the truck, for that matter!
Ladybug's paddock is going to extend from the front corner of the barn's porch forward about 65 feet or so and will end at that stake a little to the right of that center tree below.  That way she will be able to go stand in the front yard away from the other horses when she's feeling anti-social -- as she often is.  Also, she is by FAR the tidiest of the three, so visitors won't be disgusted by the sight of horse poo if she's the one in front -- she will have gone over to the far corner and left it all in one neat pile, I'm sure.  ;-D
I ended up ordering the fencing itself from Ramm Fencing instead of Centaur.   I called just to get a comparative bid, but they were SO helpful that I probably would have gone with them even if they hadn't turned out to be significantly cheaper.  The total price for all the fencing PLUS 25 gallons of specialty paint for the posts, PLUS 5 special gate latches for the stalls, PLUS the u-channel for the stall divider boards and a few other things unrelated to the fencing was STILL almost $1000 less than Centaur.  I talked to a woman named Olga Kipp, an account manager, who was so patient and SO helpful.  Once we had finished, she mentioned that if I had a drawing she would double check what I had ordered against the drawing for me.  She did -- within 20 minutes of the time I e-mailed it to her, as a matter of fact!  And she  did discover a few omissions for me - extra tensioners where the exterior gates are, and things like that that we wouldn't have thought about until we got to that point  (and then we'd have gotten completely bent out of shape - no fun).   So I'm extremely grateful to Olga!  Nice.
