At last! . . . out of work!

Last Thursday I got the guys to load my desk and chair and a big artificial tree out of my office and into my truck and I headed home at 10 A.M. Neither Sheri nor John have contacted me so far to come back and help for anything so I'm just kicking back and enjoying the fact that I can do anything at all at any time here at home --- or do NOTHING if I prefer!  Wow!  That is a first for my whole life!!

And the same is true of Mark.  Well -- maybe not exactly because he always feels like he has to deal with things here at home on a daily basis so he obviously isn't feeling like he can do nothing at all if he wants to.  Hmm.  I guess I better get busy doing things here at home as well.  He sure shouldn't have to be the only one handling this place, that's for sure!

Well - we do still have Gigi . . . but I think I do need to find her another home because we are simply not active enough or strong enough to deal with her.  I thought she'd calm down once she was grown, but she's 18 months old and still super active so I guess she's always going to be too much for us to deal with.  But I do want to know a person who takes her so I can keep track of how she's doing.  I don't want to have to wonder whether she's okay or not.

I took a number of pictures of Gigi today.  When I open the bathroom door to the back porch where she hangs out, she's generally sound asleep right up against the door:

When I say something and wake her up she jumps up and then right away sits because that's what it takes for her to be allowed to come inside:

When she came in today she brought with her that s-shaped chew toy of hers.

Once she got inside and I had the door closed from that bathroom into the bedroom, she just sat down and chewed on that s-shaped toy for a while in there.

Then she decided to lay down on the shower rug.

But suddenly Mark went into the shower from his bathroom on the other side of it and began to shower.  When she heard that water she dropped her toy and stared at the shower - although she couldn't actually see anything in there of course.

Then she looked over at me like maybe I should handle that racket somehow -- or tell her what she was supposed to do.

But then once she got used to that sound she decided to just go back to sleep instead.  Nice!

I was a bit concerned as to whether she would chew up anything in that bathroom if I let her hang out in there, but she certainly didn't.  Hmmm. Maybe I should keep her after all.  Hey . . . who knows!!!
