On the plus side, I was removed this afternoon from jury duty in a murder case over in Plaquemine. I was incredibly happy about THAT! And not just because I didn't want to be on the jury (and I certainly did NOT), but also because I do NOT like taking the ferry across the Mississippi River -- and that's the only reasonably fast way to get from St. Gabriel over to Plaquemine. If not for that, I would have had to drive all the way downtown, cross the bridge there, and drive all the way back down on the other side of the river -- 30-some miles. Anyway, now thankfully I don't have to go over there EITHER way! What a relief!
But through the day one of my teeth began to hurt a LOT, so I called my dentist. But the earliest appointment he could give me was Thursday afternoon.
I told my boss about all of that, and about not getting in to the dentist until Thursday, and he gave me his dentist's name. As it turned out, his dentist is even closer to home than mine AND he is willing to see me first thing tomorrow morning! Thank heaven!
And fortunately, I still have pain meds, too. They were for my back and shoulder pain, but I'm sure they'll work for this tooth, too. I plan to take one and go to bed early tonight. I sure hope the new dentist can do something tomorrow morning about whatever he discovers is the problem with that tooth. But we'll see.
So . . . time to go feed the horses and the dogs, then I can feed me and go to sleep.
Lovely. I can't wait!
