Gees! . . .

I got another penicillin injection yesterday evening and now the root canal specialist has prescribed yet another antibiotic (clindamycin) to go along with that (that's antibiotic #4!)  If the pain hasn't gone away by Monday I guess I'll need to find a regular doctor who can pull a sample out of that infected area and send it in to a lab to see what antibiotic will actually cure that infection.  I'd HAVE to find a "real" doctor since those dentists have both refused to do that.

The only good thing I can say about this is that my inability to eat has caused me to lose almost 15 pounds over the last two weeks.

Of course, if this infection ever DOES go away I am probably going to scarf down virtually EVERYTHING I can get my hands on, so that weight loss probably won't last!!

It's looking wonderful outside now, though.  The leaves on those trees that were taken down last week are beginning to dry out and fall off and that area is looking more and more cleared off.   Nice.
Here are all those trees we worried most about during hurricanes

And those near the paddock fences are down now - what a relief!

And once we arranged for them to take down those huge trees by the one that fell during the last huge hurricane, it dawned on me to get rid of the ones all along the paddock fences.  There are just way too many trees around the big pasture to even think of paying to get them all removed.  But at least the horses SHOULD be safe now during hurricanes while closed inside their paddocks - I hope.

We also got the trees next to our hay storage building removed on our own side of the fence,
as well as one back by that earlier fallen tree.

These trees needed to go so the horses couldn't eat the leaves and vines anyway.
(You can see that some of the trees on the other side of the fence are down back there already.)

So those trees are down now, but Shadow was terrible about eating all those leaves for the first few days!

You could see from the upstairs window just how big those trees were
that they took down in front of the hay building.

But Jerry did get rid of all those branches last weekend.  MUCH better.

We got the trees between the fence and that leaning live oak down, too (they weren't done yet in this photo), but NOT the one that is growing up RIGHT next to the oak -- but now that the others are down, maybe John and Bruce will be able to get rid of that one, too, and let that oak spread out more by the time they get down here to stay.

And here are those trees along the front of the property that went down.

Well, time to go feed horses again now - and I must say I feel a lot more like doing it now than I have for the last couple days!

Oh - and I haven't gotten around to taking Boo over to the groomer so I thought I'd brush him out a little just to cut down on the hair that's getting all over the place in the house.  Ha!  Check out the yard where I brushed him for just a minute or two!!!

Actually, a lot of that fur had already got blown away when I took this -- the winds today were really high.
