I've been busy! . . .

FINALLY got the kitchen just about as finished as it's probably going to be - at least the main stuff.  Still need to do some trim paint and that kind of thing, but I'm feeling a lot better about the process -- finally!

We bought those steel bar seats 10 years ago, then I bought new wood ones last year but we never really felt they were nearly as comfy, so . . .
back in from the barn with these!  ;-D



Check out the view from the window.  Gotta love it!



I love seeing the horses out all the back windows and doors. 
And that works a lot better since we cut off the bottom branches on those Oak trees out there.
(Those white plastic curtains out there on the back porch keep rain away from the cats' bed. 
I know that horse lunge line across the center there looks a bit odd,
but it keeps the curtains from blowing out from the window and letting the rain in.





That corner over there is SO much nicer without those wall ovens.

Even the dining room is pretty much done - except for the wall mount for that TV Mark's company gave him.

It'll look even better once that TV is mounted on the wall about a foot higher.



Jerry came by Sunday and painted the raised beds that David put in months ago that same teal color as the shutters and wicker furniture on the front porch.  Nice.  Makes them looks "finished," I think.

It isn't hiding the ramp yet -- but when the plants get taller it should.
And at least it matches the front door and the porch shutters now.

The barn is going to look really really nice if we ever get it all the way done.  See that brown tarp hanging on the side porch? . . . that keeps the hay from getting wet when it rains.  But eventually we plan to put sliding barn doors on there - they will also be teal -  so it should look much nicer then.  I'm thinking it might be nice to paint those window trim boards teal, as well -- or maybe even put standard shutters on those windows.  Hmmm.  (Okay, okay -- I better put that down at the bottom of "THE LIST" -- I'm sure that will be Mark's opinion.  ;-D   )

Talked to Wendy the other day and she will be coming down in another couple weeks along with Vickie and John.  I'll be taking that week off.  Can't wait!
