It was cold, cold, COLD last night - maybe high 30's. In fact, it's supposed to go down to 27 degrees at night by the end of the week! NOT a "southern" sort of night. But at least all the rain has passed and the horses will be allowed back out to graze. I'm sure THEY will be happy about a sunny 50-ish day. Perfect, as far as they're concerned.
Joey, of course, is at therapy today -- it's Wednesday. But he's also going to be seen by the dermatology group today. He's had a rash ever since his blood donation about a month ago. At first I assumed it was just because there were so many non-routine things happening to him at that point. The blood donation. The company over Christmas. The change in the furniture arrangement in the bedroom. That kind of thing usually brings on a rash, but only temporarily. (Sometimes for just 10 minutes or so!) But although everything has been back to "normal" in his life over the last week or two, the rash has gotten a lot worse. In fact, it's spread over most of his body at this point. Time to call for help. We'll see what they say.
Oh - the annual calendar from the patent attorneys we work with in Taiwan came in the mail this morning. The picture on the calendar this year is of two cranes with a Chinese title printed down the side.
When I looked closely at the calendar, down at the bottom in fine print there's a translation of that title:
"Blessed with longevity like the old pine tree and the cranes."
Hmmm. Didn't realize they knew me THAT well!
