Left work a bit early this afternoon - they were about to replace my computer with a new one at the office. Until now, they have always set up a new computer in the computer offices, then I would go over and make sure the thing was working correctly and THEN they would install it in my office. But not this time. Oh, no. This time the head of the computer department is setting it up himself and he says I should trust that there will be no problems. Oh - and he's upgrading the docket program at the same time -- something that has also inevitably caused problems in the past. But I need to trust him.
Right.
We'll see on Monday if that's true, I suppose. Anyone want to put money on that???
Well - at least it was a reason to leave early today. That works.
When I picked up Joey this afternoon, I saw that he hadn't donated blood today after all -- no shaved spot on his neck. So I asked around and they told me that he would be donating on Monday instead (because they had another donor today, I think). I guess they probably decided to keep the other donor and put Joey off until next week since he'll be over there then anyway.
Oh - the surgery people called this afternoon, too -- my next spinal injection is going to be December 27 - the day after Vickie and John go back to DC. Not sure if Wendy will be down here then or not, but I can't put it off until after the first of the year since I won't be allowed to drive myself and Mark will be going back to work right after New Years. Well, if she IS here, it'll give us more time to hang out anyway.
Okay, time to get back to cleaning out those dadburned file cabinets!
