Progress?

Just came from my visit to that spinal specialist.  They took still MORE x-rays (I should be glowing at this point!), then he showed me on the x-rays - and on that MRI I had last month  - that there is a cyst inside my spine that is pressing on the nerves near the bottom of my spine and causing the pain I've been having.  BUT . . . I'll be having another spinal injection to get rid of the rest of the pain and I should be fine at least for the time being.  When I asked if surgery would eventually be inevitable, though, he said "no."  It's possible that these injections will do the job indefinitely.  That's great because those injections are no problem whatsoever (except for money, of course).  But they don't hurt and they don't take long at all and they won't require any time off except maybe the following day (if that - they told me to stay home the next day that last time, but I actually felt just fine that day).  So anyway -- the spinal specialist is going to set me up with the surgery department and they're supposed to get back to me about when to have it done.  Hope it's very soon!

It's been incredibly cold down here lately -- probably 20 degrees below normal for this time of year.  But it gets up into the 50's and 60's in the day.  So what I've been doing is putting the horses' blankets on them at night, then taking them back off in the morning.  Kind of a pain.  But on the other hand, if I DIDN'T put their blankets on, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep thinking about them standing out there freezing to death -- well, Lizzie anyway since she's not supposed to have a large amount of hay anymore, so how the heck would she stay warm???

Well, instead of playing online, I guess I should be cleaning out the file cabinets in here right now.  Buddy and Lisa will be helping me move all this office stuff out of here and into the central library room on Saturday and I want to have those file cabinets cleared out by then.  For one thing, it'll be easier to move the things.  And for another, I'm going to need Buddy to help me get all that heavy paperwork down the stairs!  What I'd REALLY like to do is burn the stuff -- there's lots of financial info and personal stuff.  Wonder if there's anywhere that would be safe to do that?  Where we used to have a "burn pile" is now in the middle of the pasture - NOT an option anymore.  Maybe I should get a metal trash can and burn it in there.  Wonder if it would burn inside something that enclosed or if it would have to have holes in the side somehow?  Hmmm.  I'll have to ask Mark about that.

Well anyway, I guess I better get to work.  It's Thursday already.  Only one more day to deal with all this before time to move  everything.  (So enjoy your night.  You probably don't need to do anything this evening, right?)
