New computer at last!

That's "IT" -- the computer is inside the monitor so that's ALL there is!

Came in to work early again today to see about my computer and yeaaa! . . . I finally got the new one here at the office and it is GREAT!  I'll have to give major points to Damian, the head of our IT department.   This is the first time I have EVER had my computer changed out without MAJOR problems.   I had it working as well as ever by the time I would normally have come in to work this morning.  Relief!

We've sure come a loooong way since those huge CRT monitors, haven't we?
(I think this was taken in 2007.)
It IS going to take me a bit of time to get really used to everything again since Damian upgraded every last piece of software I have -- and I have a LOT of it!  But I was still able to get on with my work without too much distress.  Love it!

Having progressively more trouble getting around again.  Sure glad that second spinal injection is scheduled for SOON.

I'm glad I've got some extra hours in this week because it'll give me a chance to go home early tomorrow.  Buddy and Lisa will be over in the morning and once they're done with the horses they're going to try to get the house ready for company for me.  So I need to get home as soon as possible since I'm sure Lisa's going to wonder what the heck to do with all the stuff that's laying around all over the place.  It won't be fun for her, I'm sure!  I'm really grateful that she said she'd take care of it, though, so I didn't have to hire someone I didn't know from Adam.  It's good to have people you really like and trust come help you when you need them.  I'm so grateful to have found them!

I've been enjoying seeing the results of that "inner animal" quiz on Facebook.  It really is amazing that such a short quiz can come up with some fairly accurate descriptions of everyone from what I've been able to tell.  Check out this quiz by the World Wildlife Federation -- fun!  (My "inner animal" is a Sumatran Rhino!  As I noted on FB, we ARE built similarly.  ;-D)

Oh - and Joey did his blood donation last Monday.  Looks like his veins must be a bit hard to find - his neck was shaved on both sides.  They said he was a little antsy, but after all it was the first time.  Joey isn't comfy with ANYTHING the first time.  But he got Science Diet and he will get meds for heart worms and fleas, and vaccinations, and blood work of all sorts - all free in exchange for his donations.  So that's a good thing.  And I'm really glad professionals will be keeping an eye on Joey regularly for the next 6 years -- he's so peculiar in so may ways that I'm really happy that's going to be the case!

Well - better get back to work on my NEW computer.  ;-D
