Then next year we'll have 12-12-12 and then that's "it." No more "all-the-same-number" dates until 2101.
Not that it matters, I guess. Just a thought.
Joey seems to be feeling cold most of the time lately. Guess that's understandable, given how short his coat is. But when he gets in his bed, he always tries to climb under the blankets. And if I cover him with one, he pulls his head underneath and stays under there until he absolutely HAS to go out. And when he goes out if it's cold or rainy he does his business instantly and comes RIGHT back in the house and heads for his bed! (He does love his blankets!)
So last night I put a dog shirt on him that I had ordered for the "Mardi Paws" parade (but hadn't actually gotten around to using before). Getting it on him wasn't much fun (he didn't understand getting his legs into those "sleeves"), but once he had it on, he seemed really happy with it. He stayed out of his bed for a good while and stayed on the floor and played. And he slept in it all night without making any attempt to pull it off or chew on it or anything. THAT was a surprise. So I ordered him a couple of nice easer-to-put-on "jackets" with velour linings from Lands End.
I looked on Amazon and eBay too, of course, but oddly enough the prices on those sites were higher than the ones on Lands End! And the ones I ordered looked a lot more substantial to me. So we'll see how it goes. If he likes wearing them when he goes out, maybe I'll find him a little lighter-weight sweater to wear in the house. (I DO keep the place cold in the winter. Even Mark complains about having to wear sweat shirts all the time. But I like having the fireplace going while we're up, and I LOVE sleeping in the cold with a nice heavy comforter.)
I sure hope Joey likes those things, and will wear them without chewing on them. Because he will definitely LOOK adorable, that's for sure!

Okay, lunch is over. Back to work.
Later . . .
