Have been spending this morning cleaning the dozens and dozens of feed containers I used over at Al's. Not sure if we'll really need them here since Mark and I both know how much feed and supplements to measure out (never trusted Al to do it right) but it can't hurt to clean them up anyway. Then I'm going to haul everything out of the kitchen and into that corner of the living room where all the other "barn stuff" is, and try and locate the counters in the kitchen again!

I STILL haven't been able to find my camera so these photos were taken with my phone -- they're not very clear, but they're pictures anyway. If the darned camera doesn't turn up by the time Mark comes home I think I'll buy myself another one. Probably not a bad idea anyway since Mark needs a camera too. As soon as I buy myself a new one, the one I can't find will no doubt show back up (that's how it always works) and then we'll BOTH have one!
It's been pouring down rain all morning and the humidity is unbelievable! You can't even see out the doors or windows:
Early this morning before the rain started, though, I got Jerry to mow me some "paths" from the paddocks to the side gate where I dump the horse poo, and from the front porch out to the barn. Now I'll be able to do the daily routine WITHOUT my pants ending up soaking wet clear up to my knees from the tall, wet grass!
I'll tell you what - I think we should plan to pay Jerry the money we used to pay Al. EVERY weekend. I really appreciate the stuff he does for us.

Now between dishwasher loads, and while it rains, I'm relaxing here in the office listening to the last few disks of the book-on-tape I've been hearing this week. Once the rain stops, I'll need to go out and clean out the stalls and paddocks and get all sweaty and dripping wet - again. But for now it's nice to be clean and just relax.
All of us.
All of us.
