Getting up this morning was tough for me AND for Joey.  In fact, it took food to get Joey out of bed.  Usually he's ready to jump up and go out the minute I get up.  Not today.
I tried to ask him to go out, but short of dragging his butt off the bed it wasn't going to happen.  I rolled him over to try and wake him up, but he just looked at me, curled up and went back to sleep.
So I gave up and went and got their breakfast.

I came back and told him to "go to your room" (he eats in his crate).  He opened his eyes, stretched, thought about it for a minute, and then in the blink of an eye was sitting in there waiting for his food -- in maybe about 10 seconds!

Once I headed for work, and Mark headed over to feed the horses, the fence guys began setting the final fence posts in place - those that will divide the three paddocks from the main pastures, and the ones for the new dog yard.  By the time I got home, all of them except the two for the front double gates (which we don't have yet), were all in place.  Yippee!

The metal poles above are the boundary of the new dog yard.  After that very tall metal post, where the posts change to wood, is where the dog yard ends and Duke's paddock begins.

Below is a view from the other end of that fence line.  You can see the old dog yard that hasn't come down yet.  The new fence will run across the center of the old yard and straight back, so instead of being stuck in a little 35 X 35 yard, they will have one that is more like 50 X 200 maybe with several nice big oak trees on one end.  That's where they will be when they go out their dog door.
When we go out to play with a ball or frisbee or something, though, we will do it in the front yard which will be larger.  In the picture below, I'm standing just left of the fence post where the front yard picket fence we plan to put in eventually will begin.  It will run from there over to Ladybug's paddock -- those posts you can see in the background in the picture below.
But until that fence goes in (not this year), I'll be able to work with the dogs in the entire front area since the 4-panel horse fence in front will have electric wires below and above the bottom panel that will keep them in well enough while I'm out there with them.

This weekend when the dog yard is done, they will begin doing the horse fencing.  Please, please, PLEASE don't let it storm!!
